Hi! I am a very big fan, and I mean a VERY BIG fan of the PS2 game Digimon World 4. I started a few years ago and I stopped halfway through because I didn't know how exactly to play it...... then after some time, I got back on my feet to continue playing this 3 level-of-difficulty game and multi-player as many as 4 players game.... and in the end, I got ADDICTED to it!!!At the start of the game, it allows you to choose 1 of the 4 Digimon characters it has for you with their own speciality, magic moves, techniques and of course: EVOLUTION.
In Digimon World 4, instead of walking around bare-handedly, you will be equiped with WEAPONS and MAGIC SKILLS that are meant for leveling your techniques and ARMOR BOARDS which increases your Defenses, Power, Resistance and other stats. With higher level of techniques, you will be able to wield better and stronger weapons.
The Magic moves would depend on who your Digimon is. To level your Magic level which is also known as Blast technique, you would have to use Magic skills that gives damage directly, such as Petty Fire/Ice/Bolt/Dark and other skills. Force Magic skills are Magic moves that either weakens your enemy or strengthens your Digimon and allies. These skills include Petty Power-Up/Bind/Freeze/Power-Down and others as well. "Heal"ing moves are as obvious as they are, that is to restore lost HP( Hitpoints,in other words: your LIFE). At the start of your training, it might take some time before you can get your 1st tech-up; but it will be easier to get tech-ups as your techniques level up.

Characters of Digimon World 4
This is Agumon, one of the Digimons available for you to choose. Agumon is a Blunt specialist and starts with his weapon called Blunt Axe, meaning he is a Digimon that specializes in using Axe or Maul type weapon. Agumon is a Fire type Digimon as he starts off with the Magic move Petty Fire. Agumon is a perfect choice for you if you prefer going toe-to-toe with your enemies as he has a high level of strength and defense. Although he has strength and defense, he doesn't have a lot of MP (magic points), but it doesn't stop him from smashing his opponents with his weapons and melt them with his super-blazing-hot Petty Fire!!
Guilmon, the Fire type Digimon up for you to choose in Digimon World 4. Unlike Agumon, Guilmon doesn't specializes in Blunt attacks but Guilmon is a Stab specialist which starts with Stab Dagger, which means using stabbing weapons is his specialty. He starts off in the game with Petty Fire, same as Agumon, but Guilmon has a lower level of strength and defense compared to Agumon, but Guilmon has A LOT of MP because he is a Digimon that has a skill that weakens enemies and strengthens himself as his Force technique levels up. So, if you prefer to go with someone who doesn't have that much of HP (hitpoints) but prefer to use Magic skills to overwhelm all your enemies, Guilmon is sure a good option for you to go with.
This is Dorumon, the new Digimon that never appeared in any of the Digimon series except the movie Digimon X-Evolution. Dorumon is one of the Digimon that is up for choosing. Dorumon is a Bash specialist that uses katana type weapons as his favorite weapon and the weapon he is holding in the picture is the weapon he starts with: Bash Katana. Dorumon is a Ice type Digimon with Petty Ice. Overall, Dorumon is the one and only Digimon in Digimon World 4 that has an equivalent level of strength, defense, speed, spirit, wisdom, MP and HP. For those who are all-rounders, Dorumon is the Digimon for you to be with.
Veemon, the happy go lucky Digimon in Digimon World 4. Veemon is a Slash specialist Digimon that starts with the weapon Slash Sword. His first MP move is Petty Bolt that shocks enemies that gets hit with it. Veemon has a high level of speed with makes him as quick as lighting. Veemon is one good option if you intend to get past your enemies fast.
